Pension Finder Services

Our targeted approach to finding pension professionals ensures you spend less time looking, and more time planning your retirement solutions.. Our service makes searching for and selecting an advisor simple and easy.

Appointing the right specialist pension advisor is such an important decision. Over the last few years we have assisted many clients to make this decision much easier. In 2011 we assisted over 600 people.

By using our Pension Finder Service, clients are then better placed and more focused to tackle more important detailed pension decisions involving risk, reward, investment decisions and product selection.

We help alleviate any concerns you may have by answering certain questions, including whether the advisor is regulated by the FSA or holds appropriate levels of PI insurance. You can then focus on the personal connection, whether you feel comfortable and confident in the advisor as an individual.

While the advisors focus on building long term relationships, our priority is to support a simple yet profoundly effective introduction. Clients and advisors alike can now get on with what they do best, advising and deciding on effective pension strategies, while building a stronger financial future.

MONEY ADVICE TRUST

Summary and Popularity of Site

The Money Advice Trust (MAT) is a charity organisation that was formed back in 1991 to give free advice to people with debt problems. Either there are not that many people in the UK that are in debt or else this site just hasn’t being getting much attention because it is not ranked in the top 2 million most viewed sites in the world*. Given the statistics shown at the bottom of the review, it’s safe to assume the latter is the case.

Content

The homepage is dominated by links to the MAT’s responses to various items such as proposed amendments to gas and electricity supply licence conditions relating to the disconnection of vulnerable customers. The left hand side gives you links to news as well as information on Fixed-Rate Mortgages and their 2010 Business Plan. This plan more or less outlines their ambitions for the year and what they will need to achieve it.

While there is some information on the site, the majority of what you need to know is found in links to MAT’s partner sites such as a large amount of statistical data on debt. Apparently, the average household debt in the UK is £9,240 which rises to £21,480 if this figure is based on households that have some sort of unsecured loan. This level of debt is alarming and is surely unsustainable.

Positives and Summary

To be honest, most of their news stories are not particularly interesting. They are long and dull and probably not necessary to read if your sole intention of being on the site is to find out ways to reduce your debt and cope with your existing financial problems. The fact is, the best information will be found off the site on the various links that they supply.

Money Advice Trust is not a big company and it shows in the way the site is laid out. The information it gives is sparse though it’s useful. It asks for financial help on the site and it seems that this is required in order to make it a viable option for those seeking debt advice. As it stands, it cannot compete with bigger sites that have much greater resources and offer the same kind of services that MAT does.
