Pension Finder Services

Our targeted approach to finding pension professionals ensures you spend less time looking, and more time planning your retirement solutions.. Our service makes searching for and selecting an advisor simple and easy.

Appointing the right specialist pension advisor is such an important decision. Over the last few years we have assisted many clients to make this decision much easier. In 2011 we assisted over 600 people.

By using our Pension Finder Service, clients are then better placed and more focused to tackle more important detailed pension decisions involving risk, reward, investment decisions and product selection.

We help alleviate any concerns you may have by answering certain questions, including whether the advisor is regulated by the FSA or holds appropriate levels of PI insurance. You can then focus on the personal connection, whether you feel comfortable and confident in the advisor as an individual.

While the advisors focus on building long term relationships, our priority is to support a simple yet profoundly effective introduction. Clients and advisors alike can now get on with what they do best, advising and deciding on effective pension strategies, while building a stronger financial future.

FINANCIAL TIMES

Summary and Popularity of Site

The Financial Times is one of the best known newspapers in the United Kingdom, and they have long since joined the interactive revolution to give their readership bang up to date information about stocks and shares. It is an extremely well regarded institution and this site is ranked well within the top 1000 in the US, UK and worldwide*.

Content

The first thing that strikes you on the homepage is the fact that it looks exactly like the hard copy of the newspaper and it comes complete with a mid-pink background colour. Of course the similarities end when you see the various web links dotted across the page, particularly at the bottom. It also bears more than a passing resemblance to the BBC site by having the FTSE and Dow Jones stock exchange figures on the homepage.

The Financial Times has always had the reputation for being the serious businessman’s publication and this site does little to dispel that opinion. News of ExxonMobil profits nestle neatly by the stock market figures’ side. It retains its niche as a newspaper by reporting various stories from around the world that are affecting the global economy.

The available information is divided up into sections such as World and Companies as well as sub-sections like Portfolio and FT Lexicon. There are certain features that are available only to members and it was irritating to click on Portfolio only to find that the back link didn’t take you back to the home page, instead leaving you stuck on the member’s only page.

When you attempt to click on the news stories you are told that you have to register after having received a glimpse of the item. I believe that it is unnecessary to force people to register (even though it’s free) just to read simple news items and this is something that should be changed. The items looked short, to the point and were earnestly written as befits such a publication.

Positives and Summary

The inconvenience of registering aside, the Financial Times website does look like it has continued on the newspaper’s proud tradition of being the place where the experts go to get their up to date financial fix.
